Dr Andrea Shliselberg has been practicing for almost a decade as an emergency veterinarian. She currently works in New York City along with her role of Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences. She graduated Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with honors and went on to complete a small animal rotating internship at Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group and a surgical internship from Long Island Veterinary Specialists. Her professional interests include emergency surgery, poly trauma, and endocrine emergencies.
In 2023, Dr. Shliselberg was a visiting faculty member at her alma mater’s teaching hospital for their emergency curriculum.
Never one to turn her back to animals in their time of need, when not at work you can find her traveling abroad aiding in animal welfare projects around the globe. At home, she is on the NYS Veterinary Medical Society Animal Welfare committee.
Dr. Shliselberg is excited to be a part of the journey to new generations of veterinarians and share her knowledge and experience.
