Dr. Alexandra Jakubik is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Jakubik was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She then moved to St. Kitts where she graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary medicine in 2018. After graduation, she worked as a veterinarian in a high-volume small-animal medicine clinic in Long Island. After working in the private sector, Dr. Jakubik transitioned to Shelter Medicine and worked for the Animal Care Center of NYC where she worked as a clinician and advocate for animal welfare. Dr. Jakubik has always had a passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of veterinary students and is very excited to teach Introduction to Veterinary Surgery and Veterinary Skills courses.
