Dr. Maziel Arauz is a dedicated veterinary pathologist, educator, and leader with an abroad impact on veterinary medical education and diagnostics. Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Arauz holds a Master of Science in Veterinary Medical Education from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM), where she also served as an Assistant Professor of Pathology and Course Director for five years. Her academic journey began with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Panama, followed by an Anatomic Pathology Residency at Cornell University. Dr. Arauz has since built an exciting career, serving in various roles, including Clinical Teaching Fellow and Assistant Professor at Adtalem Global Education, Adjunct professor at University of Panama, and CEO of MAZVet Dx Histopathology, where she bridges advanced diagnostics between Panama and the U.S.

Aside from her significant diagnostic and academic experience, she is a passionate educator, leading her to develop innovative teaching tools such as interactive neuropathology and histology resources. Her scholarly output includes specialty training (pathology interns/graduate students). She has maintained a keen interest in the evolution and integration of anatomic and clinical pathology in veterinary diagnostics, and continues to contribute to her field, holding memberships in organizations such as the American College of Veterinary Pathologists, the Panamanian Veterinary Medical Association, and the LatinX Veterinary Medical Association, supporting diversity and student opportunities in the veterinary field.
