Students should first apply to LIU Post prior to scheduling an audition at the following link: apply.liu.edu/quickapp/
Admission to the Theatre program requires both an application and an audition. The program conducts auditions on campus, online via Zoom, New York and Chicago Unified auditions, and at several regional locations.
ALL auditions for the theatre arts programs are by appointment. To schedule your audition, please use the links below.
Appointments for theatre auditions at National Unified Auditions are highly recommended. We do accept "walk-in" auditions at National Unified Audition sites (time permitting), so stop by our room to request an audition appointment if you have not scheduled one in advance. Auditions at regional events may require pre-registration with a sponsoring organization.
Students who successfully complete their application and audition will be notified of their admission decision on a rolling basis.
We look forward to meeting you at a future audition soon!
Students should prepare two short contrasting monologues preferably from published plays. Monologues should be from characters aged within 5 – 7 years of student's actual age. Please be prepared to workshop your materials with faculty members. You may select either two contrasting contemporary monologues, or one contemporary and one classical monologue. BRING A HEADSHOT AND RESUME, stapled together.
Students interested in Musical Theatre should prepare one 32-bar cut of their best song, and one contemporary monologue. Please bring your own recorded accompaniment. BRING A HEADSHOT AND RESUME, stapled together. Please be prepared to workshop your materials with faculty members.
All virtual auditions are conducted live via Zoom. A Zoom link will be sent to applicants via email prior to the scheduled audition time.
We are a pre-screen optional school. While we are on getacceptd.com, it is not required for students to submit a pre-screen to attend an audition. Students who submit a pre-screen audition may receive feedback. Please note that there is a $35 fee to submit a video prior to an audition on getaccepted.com. Students who submit a pre-screen audition will still need to schedule an audition with us directly at one of the options listed. Feel free to skip the prescreen and schedule an audition below!
