The My LIU portal makes it easy to manage your college finances and to pay your bills online, 24/7, so that you can concentrate on your studies and make the most of your education.
Students are billed for tuition and fees at the time of registration. Room and board charges are reflected at the time of room assignment. Students must make satisfactory payment arrangements prior to the start of each term or before moving into residence halls to remain in good financial standing.
Bills are sent electronically to your MyLIU email account; paper bills are also mailed to your address on file prior to the start of each semester. Click on tabs below for more information about managing your Student Account.
International Student Payments
International students can pay their bills online using their home currency through the Western Union International Wire/EFT Payment Portal by clicking on the "Make a Payment" link from the Student Center home page. You can also set up an authorized user to pay on your behalf once you have logged into the gateway.
After logging in using your MyLIU User ID and selecting a balance to pay, select “Bank Wire” from the drop down payment menu. From here, enter the payer’s information on the first screen and then your bank information on the second screen. You will need to enter all of your bank information, including name, address, account number and SWIFT/ABA routing information. When complete, you will receive an email from Western Union giving you access to the GlobalPay Payee Manager Payment Tracker Notification System. Use this system to track your payment until it reaches your student account.
To complete the transaction, you must send the wire from your bank using the instructions provided by Western Union. The transaction has completed successfully when you see the credit on your student account; most transactions will post within three business days.
Students are liable for all charges incurred at the time of registration or room assignment. Your MyLIU account makes it easier than ever to manage your financial obligations. To view your current account balance, simply log into your MyLIU account online at my.liu.edu and click on the Account Inquiry link in the Finances section of your Student Center homepage.
Students must make acceptable payment arrangements or officially withdraw prior to the payment due date to remain in good financial standing and avoid late fees. Acceptable payment arrangements include:
A student who complies with any of the above shall be considered in good financial standing, so long as all terms and conditions are met throughout the term. All payment arrangements must be completely satisfied in full or the following fees and/or penalties may be applied.

Anticipated Scholarships and Financial Aid
This section illustrates pending financial aid for the specified term. Once approved, it will be applied against charges incurred in accordance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines. It is imperative that you complete all financial aid requirements to have your anticipated aid approved. You must accept or decline any Federal Direct Student Loans or Work Study by logging into your MyLIU account. First time Federal student loan recipients and parent PLUS loan borrowers must complete Entrance Counseling requirements and sign a Master Promissory Note (MPN) to be eligible for funds.
Current Balance Due
This represents a summation of all financial activity as of the statement date and is the amount you must pay or make arrangement for by the payment due date. Please note that modifications to your financial aid package and/or financial aid disbursement rules may change your total amount due. For credit balances, no payment is required.
If you register for courses and decide not to attend, you must drop your courses online or in person prior to the end of the second week of classes to avoid liability. After the second week of classes, you must complete an Application for Withdrawal Form and receive official approval from the Enrollment Services Office on your campus. Non-attendance and/or non-payment do not constitute official withdrawal from the University.
