A Diagnostic and Therapeutic Center Specializing in Screenings, Diagnostics, Treatment and Prevention of Communication and Related Disorders in Infants, Children and Adults.
Speaking, listening, processing language, reading and writing are basic to human communication. A problem in one or more of these areas can interfere with a person's ability to communicate and may negatively influence his or her quality of life socially, academically, vocationally and personally.
The J.M. Ladge Speech and Hearing Center at LIU Post has the dual mission of assisting those with communication and related disorders by offering a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services for infants, children and adults (individually or in groups) and training graduate students in communication sciences and disorders. All services are provided by clinical educators with years of experience and graduate clinicians, both working together to provide quality care that family members can observe. We offer state-of-the-art care for discounted fees and at flexible times. Services can be provided in person or via telepractice.
Referrals for services can be accepted by any concerned individuals including clients, parents, family members, physicians, employers, teachers, social workers, psychologists, school districts, preschools and other sources.
