Description

Dr. Kobeissi has an MBA and  Ph.D. in Organization Management from Rutgers University; a Master of International Management from Baylor University and a Bachelor of Science and a Minor in Economics from the University of Houston.

Before joining LIU Dr. Kobeissi held various consulting positions within the United Nations Development Programme: Regional Bureau for Europe and the CIS; Energy and Atmosphere Programme; United Nations Capital Development Funds - Special Unit for Microfinance; and the United Nations Division for the Advancement of Women.

Dr. Kobeissi has published in a number of reputed academic journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Business & Society, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Small Business Management, Comparative Economic Studies, and Electronic Commerce Research. She has also co-edited a book titled The UNDP Beijing Express (published in English & Russian). Her work was also published in Chinese in the professional journal, The Chinese Banker.

Dr. Kobeissi has presented papers at various national and international conferences. She received the Best Paper Award and the Best Paper Proceedings from the Academy of Management and was nominated to the All-Academy Carolyn Dexter Best International Paper Award. Dr. Kobeissi has also been invited as a presenter and discussant to various international forums and symposiums in Kazakhstan, The Netherlands, Lebanon, Tunisia, Egypt, Turkey, Kuwait, and Qatar. She has also lectured in MBA programs in South Korea and India.
