Our graduate programs have two major and consistent objectives: first, the pursuit of scholarly achievement; second, the enhancement of career mobility. This integrated approach provides students with unique opportunities to concentrate their efforts in areas that are productive and fulfilling.

LIU Pharmacy graduate programs offer a talented and dedicated faculty, a brilliant multicultural student body, as well as state-of-the art laboratories and learning centers. Demonstrating our enhanced commitment to research and development, three new notable research Institutes – the Lachman Institute for Pharmaceutical Analysis, the Joan B. and Samuel J. Williamson Institute for Pharmacometrics, and the Natoli Engineering Institute for Industrial Pharmacy Development and Research – have affiliated with the College in addition to our newly established Cancer Research Laboratories. Our recently restructured and continued work in improving curriculums speaks to our commitment to ensuring our students are prepared for careers in pharmaceutical sciences.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Career opportunities for pharmaceutical scientists are available in pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, in universities as researchers and faculty, and in governmental and non-governmental organizational agencies and laboratories such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), National Institutes of Health (NIH), and U.S. Phamacopeia (USP).
