Long Island University is committed to ensuring all students have the appropriate resources to uphold their physical health and wellness. The University requires students who are Division I athletes, pursuing a clinical degree, residing on campus, or attending on a J1 or F1 visa to be enrolled and covered by a health insurance plan that provides access to health care in the New York metro area.
Long Island University has partnered with JCB Insurance Solutions to develop a cost-effective Student Health Insurance Plan that provides our students and families with robust medical coverage at school, back home, and while traveling or studying abroad. The Plan is compliant with all phases of the Federal Health Care Reform and offers students access to a network of doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies throughout the country via UnitedHealthcare.
Students are automatically enrolled in the LIU health plan after the waiver deadline. Beginning this year, students are billed at a per semester rate for your coverage as noted below. If you need to access care before the waiver deadline, log in and confirm your insurance enrollment with JCB Insurance Solutions at www.jcbins.com.
