Billing & Payments

Your My LIU portal makes it easy to manage your college finances and to pay your bills online, 24/7, so that you can concentrate on your studies and make the most of your education.

  1. To view your bill, log in to your My LIU account. Your My LIU Student Center page will be displayed. Click on the “Account Inquiry” link from within the “Finances” section, and your current statement will appear.

  2. To pay your bill online by using a credit card or check, click on the “Make a Payment” link from the Student Center home page, or from within the “Account Inquiry” section to access the My LIU Payment Gateway, and pay your bill.

Students are billed for tuition and fees at the time of registration. Room and board charges are reflected at the time of room assignment. Students must make satisfactory payment arrangements prior to the start of each term or before moving into residence halls to remain in good financial standing.

Bills are sent electronically to your MyLIU email account; paper bills are also mailed to your address on file prior to the start of each semester. Click on tabs below for more information about managing your Student Account

International Student Payments

International students can pay their bills online using their home currency through the Western Union International Wire/EFT Payment Portal by clicking on the "Make a Payment" link from the Student Center home page. You can also set up an authorized user to pay on your behalf once you have logged into the gateway.

After logging in using your MyLIU User ID and selecting a balance to pay, select “Bank Wire” from the drop down payment menu. From here, enter the payer’s information on the first screen and then your bank information on the second screen. You will need to enter all of your bank information, including name, address, account number and SWIFT/ABA routing information. When complete, you will receive an email from Western Union giving you access to the GlobalPay Payee Manager Payment Tracker Notification System. Use this system to track your payment until it reaches your student account.

To complete the transaction, you must send the wire from your bank using the instructions provided by Western Union.  The transaction has completed successfully when you see the credit on your student account; most transactions will post within three business days.

If you register for courses and decide not to attend, you must officially withdraw your registration prior to the end of the first week of classes to avoid liability. You can withdraw online using your MyLIU account through the first week of the term.
