COVID-19 Protocols for In-Person Ceremony

Commencement will follow all New York State and CDC guidelines throughout the ceremony. As a reminder, face masks and social distancing will be required of all graduates and guests. It is strongly recommended that guests download and use the NYS Excelsior Pass for an expedient entrance into the ceremony. The Excelsior Pass provides secure, digital proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative test results. To download the Excelsior Pass, click here.

All guests (3 years of age and older) will be expected to complete a COVID-19 health screening, scan their electronic ticket, and show proof of one of the following to enter the venue.

  • A negative PCR COVID-19 test within the past 72 hours of ceremony
  • A negative rapid antigen COVID-19 test within the past 6 hours of ceremony
  • Proof of fully completed COVID-19 vaccination
  • Proof of recovery from COVID-19 in the past ninety days

We know how special this day is and we want to make sure that graduates can share the day with other family and friends who cannot attend in-person. The Ceremony will be streamed live on the Commencement website for all graduates and guests who cannot be in attendance.
