Peggy J. Lynam

Associate Professor, Physical Therapy

Dr. Lynam has been a member of the Department of Physical Therapy since 1992. She has been a practicing physical therapist for over 35 years. Since 2015, Dr. Lynam has been a full-time Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy on a Non-Tenure Track Appointment. She is responsible for teaching across the curriculum in the neurological, cardiopulmonary, and professional development courses. Outside of LIU, Dr. Lynam has been in home health physical therapy for over 25 years. She is a strong supporter and advocate for the APTA / NYPTA and has served in a variety of chapter positions, most recently, Chief Delegate from 2013-2017. Dr. Lynam became President of the NYPTA in June 2018. Dr. Lynam’s research interests focus on remediation of student performance and treatment of patients’ with neurological pathologies.
