Sports and health sciences is a diverse and exciting industry with unlimited opportunity to apply your passions and talents. The Division of Athletic Training, Health and Exercise Science (ATHES) offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs for students who wish to embark on a career or to advance their career in the areas of athletic training, exercise physiology, adapted physical activity for people with disabilities, sport management, coaching, or fitness and conditioning.

All degree programs offer classroom, laboratory and real-world application. Each program requires participation in internships that may lead to future employment opportunities. Our programs are complemented by excellent opportunities for hands-on experiences, applied research and community-based service that is responsive to the health and exercise needs of the diverse populations of New York City and the surrounding Tri-State area.

Division of  Athletic Training, Health and Exercise Science faculty members are highly recognized and diverse in terms of their backgrounds and their fields of interest. Athletic Training, Health & Exercise Science students intern at leading sports organizations, including Barclays Center and Brooklyn Nets, the New York Knicks, MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, ROCNATION Sports, Pfizer Corporate Fitness, Velocity Sports Performance, La Palaestra Center for Preventive Medicine and other clinical affiliations that specialize in fitness, rehabilitation, sport performance, and sport management.
