The Harriet Rothkopf Heilbrunn School of Nursing is dedicated to educating its students to become nurses who provide the highest quality of nursing care to a diverse and complex population in challenging and ever-changing social, political and economic environments across the country and around the globe. The school offers an undergraduate baccalaureate program for students with no nursing background (generic track) as well as an accelerated second-degree track.
The School of Nursing admits students on a “rolling” basis and most courses are offered each semester.
The baccalaureate degree program in nursing and the master's degree program in nursing at the Harriet Rothkopf Heilbrunn School of Nursing, Long Island University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org).
According to their website: “CCNE ensures the quality and integrity of baccalaureate, graduate, and residency programs in nursing. CCNE serves the public interest by assessing and identifying programs that engage in effective educational practices.
