LIU Brooklyn has worked successfully in collaboration with the New York City Teaching Fellows program and the New York City public schools since 2001 in the following areas:
Through our partnership with the New York City Department of Education, our students are able to work as full time teachers while completing their graduate coursework. Since its inception at LIU Brooklyn, the New York City Teaching fellows program has graduated over 700 teachers who are able to meet the educational needs of aspiring scholars in grades 1 - 12 within the City's five boroughs.
