Denise Dione Zabala joined the full-time faculty at LIU as an Assistant Professor of Nursing in September 2018. She is currently the lead of the undergraduate Health Assessment and Promotion course. Professor Zabala has clinical experience as a registered nurse in med/surg community nursing, public health, primary care, quality, and as a nurse manager. Her research interests include brain science concepts and nursing education.
