Description
Edgar E. Troudt, Ph.D., is the Assistant Dean for Research and Strategic Partnerships at LIU Brooklyn and serves on the entrepreneurship faculty. Dr. Troudt’s primary interest is in encouraging broad adoption of entrepreneurship concepts and skills across many fields, especially those in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). In 2016, he was the lead for two notable entrepreneurship programs – the CUNY-wide Community College Innovation Challenge and CUNY Kingsborough’s Brooklyn Science Innovation Initiative. In 2015, he was among the keynote speakers at the annual conference for the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE). The National Science Foundation (NSF) and the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) selected him as a judge for the national Community College Innovation Challenge in 2015. Dr. Troudt has served as co-Principal Investigator on numerous NSF-funded grants at the intersection of STEM and Entrepreneurship. CUNY recognized his role in innovating with technology through its 2011 Michael Ribaudo Award. He has also been a guest on Salt Lake City Public Radio's "Science Questions".
