Danielle Long, PT, DPT, PCS, Director of Clinical Education (DCE) has over a decade of prior experience as a full-time physical therapist across diverse healthcare settings including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient facilities, and home care, Dr. Long brings extensive expertise in both adult and pediatric care. Her dedication to pediatric physical therapy led her to achieve the credential of Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Pediatrics (PCS) in 2017.
Dr. Long is deeply committed to advancing physical therapy education, particularly in supporting students facing challenges. As a liaison to The Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT), she works hard to support DPT students as they prepare for the national licensure examination (NPTE). Dr. Long channels her passion into mentoring, coaching, and mediating during clinical education experiences (CEE), focusing on identifying and implementing effective support strategies tailored to student needs. Dr. Long actively contributes to cultivating professionalism and leadership qualities among DPT students, fostering a culture of excellence in clinical practice and education. To round out her love of the profession, she is also dedicated to facilitating and disseminating evidence to support physical therapy practice. She has taught various Evidence-Based Practice courses, and recently published two systematic reviews on the treatment of developmental coordination disorder.
