Transfer Students

Welcome! We are pleased that you are considering transferring to LIU Riverhead to complete your bachelor’s degree in childhood education (grades 1 to 6) or communication studies-new media. In transferring to our private university, you will become part of an educational institution that has devoted itself to providing a nurturing yet progressive environment in which to learn and grow.

The undergraduate degree programs in Childhood Education and Communication Studies-New Media –- offered in collaboration with Suffolk County Community College (SCCC) -- provide the junior and senior years of the B.S. in Childhood Education or the B.A. in Communication Studies. Students with an associate degree from Suffolk County Community College may seamlessly transfer into the programs. Students transferring from other colleges will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and may be required to complete additional course work.

Our goal is to make the transfer process as easy as possible, so that you can concentrate on your education. This section of the website provides you with everything you need to get started with the admissions process. Use the links on the left to learn more about open houses and information sessions, the undergraduate degree programs, the application process, admission requirements and tuition costs.
