Looking for scholarships?

Scholarships and grants—money that does not have to be repaid—are naturally the most sought-after type of assistance.

Long Island University’s scholarship programs are designed to reward students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement in high school. We are committed to providing you with an affordable, high-quality education and awarded over $100 million in scholarships to the Fall 2018 freshmen class. Awards are given to students who demonstrate academic achievement, athletic talent, or strong leadership as well as performers and artists. Aid is also awarded based on financial need.

All first-year students are automatically considered for scholarships. Just be sure to complete your application for admission and send all required documents by the posted deadlines. If you receive an academic scholarship, it may be renewed for up to 8 consecutive terms of undergraduate study if you meet the specific renewal requirements, which includes maintaining full-time enrollment status and a 3.2 cumulative GPA.

LIU Offers:

  • Merit-based scholarships
  • Talent-based scholarships
  • Endowed Scholarships

There are several need-based scholarship opportunities available to qualified LIU students. These scholarships are for first-time students who have documented financial need.
