Italian Concert Tour 2000
May 16 - 29, 2000
Agenda for Sunday May
28
Current
time in New York and Milan
(Italy is six hours ahead of our time on Long
Island)

From the tour
itinerary notes...
Milan, Italy's principal business and commercial center, is sometimes called
the "Chicago of Europe." Its outlying areas are dotted with modern
highrise structures, but the city center retains much of the charm and
tradition of past times.
A morning tour of Milan will include a view of Via Marconi, Sforzenco Castle,
the multispired Duomo, a fantastic world of stone and marble, and the largest
Gothic structure of Italy. Begun in 1386, the spires were only finished in the
19th century. We may finish our visit to the Cathedral by climbing up among the
spires on the roof to contemplate the view of Milan. Also included is a visit
to the famous La Scala Opera House.
In the early afternoon drive to beautiful Stresa on Lake Maggiore. Enjoy some
time relaxing and browsing in this idyllic lakeside town.
In the evening the C.W. Post Choir will present a variety of music at its final
concert of the tour, at the Church of Carciano.
Afterwards return to Milan, arriving in the late evening.
