Rome, the "Eternal City" built on seven hills, has for many centuries
been the political and intellectual center of Italy and the Catholic world.
Enjoy a morning tour viewing Vatican City and St. Peter's Cathedral, Sistine
Chapel, the Borghese Gardens and Gallery, Pincia Terrace, the Villa Medici,
Pianna di Spagna with its Spanish Steps and the famous Fontana di Trevi. (Some
walking may be necessary because of Rome "Jubilee" traffic
restrictions.)
