Department of Music Silent Auction

C.W. Post Interfaith Center, 8 p.m.
This coming May, the Long Island University Chamber Singers, C.W. Post Madrigal Singers, and the Merriweather Consort will be traveling to Spain and France on a 13 day concert tour. The tour includes such cities and towns as Barcelona, Montserrat, Avignon, Chartres, and Paris.
As each student is responsible for the cost of the trip, a Silent Auction will take place on Saturday, March 18, 2006 in the Interfaith Center at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University
There are two choices to be made in attending this event:
- A $50 ticket includes a Dinner Buffet beginning at 5 p.m. in the downstairs area of the Interfaith Center as well as the concert by the touring ensembles and participation in the Silent Auction. Seating is limited so tickets must be purchased in advance.
- A $15 ticket includes the concert at 7:00 pm and participation in the Silent Auction. These tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door.
Tickets may be purchased from any student member of the Chamber Singers, Madrigal Singers, or Merriweather Consort
or you may call 516.299.2475, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Attending the dinner buffet is beneficial not only for the scrumptious meal but also enables guests to leisurely peruse the auction catalog, the merchandise, and place bids before other guests arrive at 7 p.m.. The hot Italian buffet will include the following:
Penne a la Vodka
Chicken Piccata
Braised Steak Pizzaolla
Rosemary and garlic potatoes
Sauteed Italian Blend Vegetables
Caesar Salad & Italian Breads
Mini pastries and coffee
We are also in need of and are collecting donations. Any donors that wish to can place a free advertisement in the auction catalog. Any of the following will be gratefully accepted:
- Services – lessons of any kind (sports, cooking, music, dance, art, etc.) gourmet cooked meals, performances/live entertainment, home/outdoor maintenance
- Gift – Certificates. stores, restaurants, theaters, hotels
- Vacation – packages. summer homes, time shares
- Items – housewares, beauty products, collectibles, jewelry, gift baskets, decorative arts and crafts
