Map of Italy

From the tour itinerary notes...

Leave Venice in the morning by motorcoach. Arrive Verona by midday.

Verona is one of the most fascinating cities of Italy. It became a city of the Gauls and the Romans and the capital of the Ostrogoth, Longobard and Frankish dynasties, and later it passed under the bridge domination of the Scaligers and, finally became part of the Republic of Venice. Verona is bound forever to the love story of Romeo and Juliet. It is also rich in stupendous monument from every epoch.

A visit of the city will include views of the Arena, used for opera performances during the summer; the Palazzo Municipale and Palazzo della Grand Guardia; Castelvecchio, an impressive fortress on the Adige, and the lively Piazza delle Erbe, once the site of the Roman Forum and today an outdoor market. Also view the Capulet house and Juliet's balcony.

In the evening continue to Milan with accommodations there for 2 nights.
