C.W. Post Madrigal Singers Jeffrey Johnson, Director
Acclaimed by the New York Times for
their "casual grace and an air of genuine pleasure in what they were doing" the
C.W. Post Madrigal Singers perform secular and sacred music from the medieval
and Renaissance periods.
The C.W. Post Madrigals have appeared in the greater New York
area and on tour in the United States, Mexico, the Virgin
Islands, and across Europe. Most recently the Post Madrigals
toured Ireland, Wales and England (2004), Canada (2002) and Italy (2000) with the Merriweather Consort and the Long Island University Chamber Singers.
Through the personal immediacy of their performances the Post
Madrigals create an atmosphere of elegance, intimacy, and
expressiveness which exemplifies the vital art of a
cappella singing.
"[They] sang their way charmingly with beauty of tone through the program of
early music..." (The New York Times)
