C.W. Post Madrigal Singers

The C.W. Post Madrigal Singers directed by Jeffrey Johnson is an outstanding small ensemble dedicated to secular and sacred music performance primarily from the Renaissance. Attired in period costume, they bring an air of elegance and intimacy that is the essence of the Madrigal. The depth of our Early Music area is enhanced by the inclusion of the Merriweather Consort, an instrumental ensemble that play replicas of the instruments of the Renaissance period. The Merriweather Consort and the C.W. Post Madrigal Singers perform together several times each season in the Greater New York area. Both groups have appeared on tour in the United States, Mexico, Europe and Asia, where they have received critical acclaim.
