The LIU Post Commencement Ceremony is held annually in May and graduates approximately 2,200 undergraduate and graduate students each year. More than 9,000 students, faculty, staff, friends, and family attend the graduation ceremonies, which honors students who graduate from LIU Post, LIU Brentwood, and LIU Riverhead.

Two separate ceremonies will be held (for undergraduate and graduate students) on Friday, May 8, 2015, under a tent on the Great Lawn. The ceremony will be held rain or shine.

  • Undergraduate Ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m. on the Great Lawn.
(For those receiving the Bachelor's Degree or Dual Bachelor's/Master's Degree.)
  • Graduate Ceremony will be held at 2:30 p.m. on the Great Lawn.
(For those receiving the Master's Degree, Advanced Certificate or Doctoral Degree.)

The individual undergraduate and graduate ceremonies last less than two hours.
Each graduate is recognized by name and will have their photo taken in cap and gown as they crosses the main stage.
