Commencement

Graduate with sisterGraduation will be held Friday, May 6, 2015 and is the grandest event of the school year. LIU Post graduates approximately 2,200 undergraduate and graduate students each year. More than 9,000 students, faculty, staff, parents and guests attend the graduation ceremony. The ceremony honors students who graduated in September, January and May from LIU Post, LIU Brentwood and LIU Riverhead.

The ceremony includes a formal processional, a commencement speaker, the presentation of Honorary Degrees, recognition of the Valedictorian and Salutatorian, and the general conferral of undergraduate and graduate degrees by the academic schools. Recognition of individual graduates takes place at the college/school receptions, which immediately follow the formal exercise.
