Online Grading FAQ's
1) How do I check to see if I have a LIU account?
    a. If you are on campus (within the LIU network), you can check online by going to this Web page (http://academic.liu.edu/ndirectory/Directory.aspx), or by accessing it on the C.W. Post, or regional home pages and click on the Directory link. Search for a name by typing in the last name or by selecting a campus and department. The results returned will include a listing and email addresses if they exist. If you are not on campus, please contact your department or IT (516-299-2281) to check for you.
    b. If you determine you do not have an account, you may request one by printing this form and then faxing it to Information Technology at 516-299-4171. You will be contacted when the account is created for you.
    c. Some faculty have accounts but choose not to use them, and may have forgotten their passwords. You may request your password be reset to the default by contacting IT at 516-299-2281.

2) I have a LIU email account, how do I know if it is activated in PeopleSoft?
    a. The most efficient way to find out is to test it: When you are on campus, visit this Web address: https://liuhrs.liu.edu and enter your LIU network username and password. If you are unable to log in:
-If your email account is new or if you have not checked it in a long time, please try accessing your email account. See instructions on this document.
            - ... and see a red error message, your account is most likely not activated. To request its activation, please send an email to FTRC@cwpost.liu.edu.
-Is your laptop cabled into the Internet? You will not be able to access PeopleSoft wirelessly. Please remember that sometimes even after you plug your Internet cord into your machine, the wireless signal may still override by default. To disable your wireless, right-click on the wireless icon from the task bar (see the bottom right-hand corner of your PC), and select “disable” from the menu of choices.

3) If you see a discrepancy between the course listing in Faculty Center and your actual schedule, most likely your name has not been attached to the course in PeopleSoft. A phone call or email to your campus technology center (516-299-3636 or FTRC@cwpost.liu.edu) will alert us to resolve this for you.
