What is an Assignment in WebCT?

Your instructor may choose to send you assignments through the assignment tool within WebCT. This is essentially a file exchange tool that allows assignments to be delivered to you, for you to complete the assignment, and then deliver this file back for grading.

The assignment can be any type of file, in any format.

Each specific assignment is listed with the dates that it is available, and when it is due, and the points possible. To access the assignment, click on its title.

The top half of the description contains instructions from the instructor and the file (if any) sent by the instructor. To save the file sent to you, click on the filename of the file. You will then be given the option to download the file.

Once downloaded, you can edit the file in an appropriate software application.

To submit the file back to the instructor, click add attachment, write content if needed in the box below. When your ready click submit.
