Taking Quizzes & Surveys

WebCT allows you to take quizzes online, which are automatically graded when you complete them. The instructor can use a variety of format questions, including multiple choice, multiple answer, matching, and also essay questions (although essay questions are graded by your instructor).

A survey is similar to a quiz, except it is used to find out your opinion on a question, there is no correct answer. The other difference is that surveys are kept confidential, the instructor does not know what your answers were, simply whether you completed the survey correctly.

When you take a quiz or survey online, it is very important that you click on save answer after each selection. This ensures that your choices are recorded even if you lose your internet connection. Once the quiz/survey is complete, simply choose Finish to send it for grading.

Depending on the settings that your instructor has chosen, you will be able to see the questions that you got right and wrong and your final grade.
