TITLE: ERP Help Desk Support – 2 open positions

CAMPUS: C.W. Post

LOCATION: Campus Technology Center (CTC), Information Technology at C.W. Post Campus

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred in, or related to, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Three years of full-time experience working in help-desk/application assistance, and technology-based tools and resources to enhance productivity. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to learn and implement new procedures, programs, and technologies. Committed to customer service principles. Ability to patiently work with individuals with limited technology skills and to effectively develop those skills, in face-to-face, written and oral formats.

POSITION DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help-desk support for multi-campus end users in PeopleSoft 8.9, including but not limited to administrative modules for Admissions, Registrar, Financial Assistance, Student Financials, via telephone, email and other written requests, as well as person-to-person demonstrations.
  • Assist with offering training of student services module in PeopleSoft 8.9. Assist in identifying best practices for user interface and liaise with end users to resolve problems and facilitate functionality and seamless integration of a new system and the student population.
  • Provide software support and troubleshooting for all web-based applications used throughout the University. Field, identify, and resolve end user difficulties, being mindful of systemic trends in end-user problems. Collaborate with functional users and technology experts to identify and implement solutions and improvements.
  • Design, develop and deliver training workshops and materials for appropriate integration of campus-based use of software, hardware and peripherals.
