About the IT Department

The Office of Information Technology [IT] serves both the administrative and academic life of the institution, and is responsible for introducing new technologies into the everyday educational life of the University.

The Information Technology Department offers students, faculty, and staff support in all computer issues through a wide range of services including hardware repairs, software problem resolution, Electronic Mail (E-mail) and a host of other computer, Telephone, Network, and Software related issues.

The campus supports 30 campus-wide labs for student use with over 600 computers. These labs offer LaserJet printing black & white a well as Color Printing in certain labs, and a wide range of software packages are also available. All dormitory rooms are connected to the network with more than 1,000 computers currently in use.

  • Faculty and Staff are supported by the IT department through our Main Office located at LLC 227 ( EXT 1082) or our HelpdDesk. Services offered consist of, but not limited to, Email setup, Computer and computer accessory purchasing, hardware and software related issues as well as Workshops through the Faculty Media Resource Center (FMRC).

  • All Departments are assisted by the Campus Webmaster in the Creating, Updating and Maintenance of departmental websites. Departments can contact the Campus Webmaster: Patrick ABOU BAKAR, directly at EXT 1801 or Interoffice mail may be sent to Faculty Media Resource Center, room Pratt 321. You may print a copy of the Website Requisition Form here. (Print out form, complete it and submit it to the Webmaster via Interoffice mail or set up an apointment to discuss New Developments or updates.

  • Students have the ability to access their grades, registration, financial aid, account status and class schedules through the Student Information System (SIS). Students Email accounts are automatically set up upon registering and Clearing of Tuition Bills. Storage space for saving of students work is also provided and can be accessed throughout the University via Internet browsers.

  • Our Computer Labs are wired with high speed Internet access for faculty, staff and students. Smart classrooms are also available and are equipped with high-resolution projection overhead LCD projectors and screens. The computer labs can be reserved through the office of Information Technology LLC 227 prior to the beginning of classes

The Information Technology also offers our campus community wireless internet access throughout the campus.
