The first floor sitting room of the Deen Wee. Marjorie Merriweather Post personally chose the room’s child size furniture. Some of the furniture had to be specially crafted for the room.

The entire cottage was scaled smaller for children. There was a small but working piano a tiny working fireplace and even a working kitchen which included a small china and tea set.

Daughter Dina fondly recalls making gingerbread, cakes and even ice cream with her niece Marjorie (nicknamed Marwee) in the little kitchen, and taking naps in the second floor bedroom.
