Graduate with sisterGraduation is held each May and is the grandest event of the school year. LIU Post graduates approximately 2,200 undergraduate and graduate students each year. More than 9,000 students, faculty, staff, parents and guests attend the graduation ceremonies. The ceremonies honor students who graduated in September, January and May from LIU Post, LIU Brentwood and LIU Riverhead.

Two separate ceremonies will be held for our undergraduate and graduate students on Friday, May 8, 2015 under a large white tent on the Great Lawn. The ceremony will be held rain or shine.

  • The Undergraduate Level Commencement Ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m. on the Great Lawn.
  • The Graduate Level Ceremony will be held at 2:30 p.m. on the Great Lawn.

The individual undergraduate and graduate ceremonies each last less than two hours.

Each graduate is recognized by name and will have his/her photo taken in cap and gown as he/she crosses the main stage.
