Late Fees

Students are expected to clear their bills before the start of classes. In the event that a student fails to do so, late fees will be assessed. Students who have not cleared their bills by the due date on the bill will be obliged to pay a late fee of $25.00. Bills not cleared by the mid-point of the semester will be assessed an additional late fee of $50.00.

For those students who sign up for the University Deferred Payment Plan, a late fee of $10 is assessed for any missed or late payments. Payment dates are written on the student's deferred payment form and a grace period of ten days is given for payment.

Blocks and Freezes

Students who have not paid off their current or a prior semester's bill by the end of the term will obtain a freeze on their account. Students with freezes on their accounts will not be mailed a grade report at the end of the semester until the balance is paid in full. Students are always able to view their grades on the Student Information System but will not be able to obtain a copy. Transcript requests will also be denied until the prior balance has been paid in full.

Students with prior balances that total $500 or more will be blocked from registering for another semester until they are able to bring their balance below $500. Students with blocks on their accounts will be sent to the Office of the Bursar for clearance to register. The Bursar's Office will work with the students to help them to register.
