The Tilles Center Atrium

OVERVIEW

The Tilles Center Atrium is available for use in conjunction with any stage event.  With a peaceful panoramic view of the campus, the atrium is a wonderful place for pre and post event activities.  Although the Atrium was built to provide more space for our patrons and event attendees to congregate prior to shows, it is a wonderful option for pre concert lectures or post concert receptions.  Arrangements should be made with our Production Manager well in advance.

AUDIO VISUAL

The Atrium is equipped with Lighting, Sound and Video systems.  The Lighting System has a repertory lighting plot to accentuate the facility.  For a nominal fee, renting producers have the option of having gobos printed to be projected on spaces in the atrium.  Requests should be filed at least 6 weeks prior to the event.  Requests can not always be accommodated.   There are video and audio taps throughout the atrium for lectures and video presentations (although it is hard to make the Atrium Dark on a sunny day!).  The space is also equipped with a Public Address System and the ability to play music throughout the lobbies or carry a program feed from inside the venue.  The Atrium and its ancillary spaces are equipped with an open wireless internet connection as well as wired ports throughout the space.

THE ARTISTIC SIDE

Art Under Glass is the unofficial moniker of our mission to present artists and their visions on the Atrium canvas.  Ideally, we present 2 pieces a season to reside in the atrium.  Our  first  installation "Bion" by Adam Brown and Andrew Fagg, presented in Winter/Spring 2006 was a wonderful success.  Art Under Glass will be a "must-see" each time you visit the Tilles Center.  If you are interested in being considered as one of our artists, please contact our Production Manager.
