Schedule Of Fines & Sanctions
These fines and sanctions are listed as the minimum fines and sanctions and may be modified at the discretion of the Director of Student Conduct & Community Education, Director of Residence Life, or their designees.
UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY/EXIT/ACCESS CODE USE: $50 first time violation and written warning; $75 subsequent violation and additional disciplinary action
SOLICITATION: $100 first time violation; $200 second violation; $300 third violation
ALCOHOL: $75 first time violation; $100 subsequent violation
DRUGS: $100 fine first time violation; $150 subsequent violation
FIRE SAFETY: ILLEGAL ITEMS & FAILURE TO EVACUATE DURING AN ALARM: $100 fine first time violation and one semester disciplinary probation; subsequent violation - $100 fine and residence hall expulsion and ban
FIRE SAFETY: ACTIVATING SPRINKLER OR ALARM/DISCHARGING EXTINGUISHER/ TAMPERING WITH EQUIPMENT: $250 fine; residence hall expulsion and ban; restitution for damages
Pertinent To Violations Of Campus Alcohol And Drug Policies:
Residents who are found responsible for violating the Campus and/or Residence Life alcohol and drug policy for the first time may be referred to the Campus Alcohol and Other Drug Education and Abuse Prevention Class and/or the Student Health and Counseling Center. Counselors at the Student Health and Counseling Center will then make recommendations, which may include but are not limited to, continued counseling or mandatory outpatient services. Residents must comply with the recommendations of the Student Health and Counseling Center.
Residents who are found responsible for further violations of these policies will be referred to Student Health and Counseling for a second evaluation. Counselors will make recommendations, which will likely include, but are not limited to, continued counseling and/or mandatory outpatient counseling/testing services. Referred students must comply with the recommendations of the Student Health and Counseling Center.
