International Student Orientation
Leader Application Information
Fall 2008

The fall 2008 Orientation will be held from Wednesday, August 27 – Friday, August 29.
Orientation leaders will be expected to assist in ALL activities held during August 27 – August 29, including but not limited to:

• assisting with all activities held during August 27 – August 29
• participating in leader training on April 25 and August 26
• helping with new International Student arrival day
• assisting with all orientation sessions
• participating in ice-breakers
• attending off-campus trips
• leading campus tours

The compensation/benefits for this position are:

• extraordinary leadership position for resume
• $75 stipend
• dinner on August 26
• all meals from August 27 – August 29
• early move-in to the Residence Halls, for those who will live on campus for the fall 2008 semester, on August 26

All orientation leaders must participate in Orientation Leader
Training one to be held on April 25 and on August 26.

Incomplete applications will not be taken into consideration.

Applications are due by Friday, March 14 (The day before Spring Break begins).

Applicants will be chosen based on leadership, service, and academic record. We will interview chosen candidates from March 31 – April 4. (Due to the large volume of applications, not all students will be chosen for an interview). All applicants will be chosen by Friday, April 11.
