MAKING COMPARISONS

We hope this Question and Answer page has provided you with the information necessary to make comparisons among other programs of study.

When you are making comparisons, remember:

The Academic Resource Program admits students to the Program ONLY AFTER they have been accepted by the University and C.W. Post.

Academic Resource Program students work with a learning assistant on a one-to-one basis for two hours per week; however, each student may spend as much time as needed at the Center AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.

Students work in the Learning Support Center with a learning assistant at individual carrels.  The learning assistant will also work with students in the library if needed.

Content tutoring within the core curriculum is available.

The Program provides quiet rooms for testing.

Social and academic workshops are provided.

There is an on-site social worker available to counsel students.

The Learning Support Center’s motto is: SERIOUS PROGRAMS FOR SERIOUS STUDENTS.

If you have any additional questions, please call our office at 516-299-3057.
