So, You Want to Buy a Horse?

June 29, 2000 - What type of horse should you purchase? What breed of horse is suitable for your needs? What are the expenses involved in owning a horse? Where should you go to purchase a horse? Has your love for the horse reached the point of no return, whereby you are now ready to take that all-important first step towards ownership? That first step can be confusing as well as terrifying.

On Saturday, September 9, 2000 at 10 a.m. Deborah Rittereiser - an instructor in the C.W. Post Equine Managent Certificate Program - will present a free seminar at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University titled, "So, You Want to Buy a Horse?" The seminar will guide you through the process of purchasing your first horse and detail what you need to know before you start your search. You will learn how to purchase your first horse with confidence, whether your interests are pleasure riding, showing, jumping, dressage, racing or breeding.

This seminar is a must for anyone considering the purchase of a horse. For information on the Equine Management Certificate Program or to register for the free seminar, call the School of Continuing Studies at (516) 299-2236.
