The Princeton Review: C.W. Post is ‘One of the Best’ Places to Earn an M.B.A.

Brookville, N.Y. – Citing its “excellent academic experience” and helpful professors, The Princeton Review has named the College of Management at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University one of the best places in the country to earn a Master of Business Administration degree.

The New York-based education services company today, Oct. 3, 2006, published the 2007 edition of “Best 282 Business Schools.”

“We are pleased to recommend C.W. Post to readers of our book and users of our Web site as one of the best institutions they could attend to earn an M.B.A.,” said Robert Franek, Princeton Review vice president for publishing.

“We chose schools for this book based on our high regard for their academic programs and offerings, institutional data we collect from the schools, and the candid opinions of students attending them who rate and report on their campus experiences at the schools,” Franek said.

Post students surveyed by The Princeton Review cited “excellent academic experience,” “professors who understand and are willing to accommodate students” and an “excellent library,” according to the two-page profile of C.W. Post in “Best 282 Business Schools.”  Students also said they found classroom facilities to be “in great shape” and enjoyed C.W. Post’s beautiful 307-acre campus in Brookville, New York.

The “Survey Says” section of the C.W. Post profile, which lists the topics about which students were most in agreement, reported “friendly students,” “smart classrooms,” “solid preparation in teamwork” and “students love Brookville.” The Princeton Review's 80-question survey asked students about themselves, their career plans and their school’s academics, student body and campus life.  

The C.W. Post College of Management’s business programs carry the elite accreditation of AACSB International - the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. In September, the College launched a new, accelerated B.S./M.B.A. in Business Administration program, which can be completed in as little as five years.

The College of Management is also home to the nation’s first School of Professional Accountancy, which offers bachelor's and master's degree programs in accountancy and taxation, and the School of Public Service, which has degrees in criminal justice, health care administration, public administration and social work.
