Rags-to-Riches Billionaire Bill Bartmann to Speak Sept. 28 at C.W. Post
Man who revolutionized debt collection appears in Let’s Talk Business Live series
Brookville, N.Y. – Bill Bartmann, the author of “Billionaire Secrets to Success,” who overcame repeated setbacks to become one of the nation’s wealthiest men, will take the stage in the Let’s Talk Business Live! series at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University.
Bartmann will be interviewed live onstage by Mitch Schlimer, host of the Let’s Talk Business Live! series, from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday, September 28, 2006 in the Hillwood Commons Cinema at the C.W. Post Campus at 720 Northern Boulevard in Brookville.
A high school dropout who earned his GED and went on to college and law school, Bartmann founded Commercial Financial Services, a company that revolutionized the debt collection industry by using polite persuasion rather than threats and intimidation. This approach was so successful that CFS grew to 3,900 employees with revenues in excess of $1 billion and earnings in excess of $182 million.
The company collapsed in 1998. Bartmann’s partner pleaded guilty to federal fraud charges and testified against him, but Bartmann was acquitted of all charges without having called a single witness in his highly publicized 2003 trial.
Today, Bartmann shares what he has learned in bouncing back from multiple failures through live appearances and sales of his books and DVDs.
