Free Lecture on Breast Health at C.W. Post

Learn how to reduce your risk of breast cancer and the importance of early detection at The Maurer Foundation’s Breast Health Connections lecture on Tuesday, October 17, 6:30 p.m. at the Top of Hillwood Commons on the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville. The talk is sponsored by the Maurer Foundation for Breast Health Education, C.W. Post’s Student Life and Leadership Development Office, the C.W. Post School of Health Professions and Nursing and C.W. Post’s Long Island Women’s Institute.
Jeff Picarello, director of public affairs for Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, along with the Maurer Foundation for Breast Health Education, will present “Breast Intentions: What You and Your Mother Should Know About Breast Cancer.” Participants in the interactive program will learn about the latest in breast cancer development, including diagnosis and treatment and have the chance to practice breast self-examination techniques on High Fidelity Silicone Breast Models.
The seminar is free and is open to all Long Island University students and faculty, healthcare professionals and community members. Seating is limited.
