You Can Help Make a Girl’s Prom Special

Volunteers are needed Saturday, April 23, 2005 at the Prom Boutique, a program that provides new or gently used dresses, shoes, bags and accessories at no cost to Long Island girls whose families cannot easily absorb the expense of clothes for proms, sweet sixteens, graduations or other special events.

The event is organized by the C.W. Post Social Work Club. This is the 3rd annual Prom Boutique at C.W. Post.

Volunteers will be needed at the Pioneer Room in Hillwood Commons from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for things like setting up, serving as personal shoppers, doing alterations, accessorizing, keeping things tidy, and breaking down.

Donations of prom dresses, bridesmaid’s dresses, and accessories such as shoes, evening bags, and costume jewelry will be accepted through Friday, April 22, 2005 at the Hillwood Commons information desk.

For information contact Simone Solz at (516) 860-8186 or Diana O’Neill at  (516) 564-5482.
