C.W. Post Opens New Student Technology Center
Copies, Poster Printing and $1 Laptop Rentals

October 14, 2005 – Brookville, N.Y. – Students at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University can rent notebook computers for just $1 a day, make photocopies and use PCs for free at the new Student Technology Center in the Campus’ Hillwood Commons.

The Center, which was made possible by the C.W. Post Student Government Association (SGA) through its Academic Enhancement Initiative, offers office and print services along with software instruction to students Monday through Friday from noon to 8 p.m.

“Students now have a convenient on-campus source for creating professional presentations and communications,” said Maia Ezeigbo, president of the Student Government Association.

Available services include up to10 free color photocopies; free printing from discs or flash drives; free use of Dell PCs and an Apple iMac, with Microsoft Office and the latest software; and poster printing on a large-format Epson printer for a fee well below commercial rates.

Thirty laptop computers equipped with wireless capabilities, carrying bags and power cables are available to rent for $1 per day.

The SGA also worked in conjunction with the Office of Information Technology and the Division of Student Affairs to create the facility.

Located in Brookville, New York, the C.W.
