The A&E Challenge encourages first-year students to become involved in the Campus community, improve their health and succeed in their studies. Each College 101 class is considered an A&E Challenge team, and each member of the team that earns the most points – by attending campus events, working out at the Campus’ Pratt Recreation Center and earning the highest grade point average – wins a prize package. Each member of the champion team is eligible to participate in a drawing for four grand prizes. Last year's grand prizes were a television set, a laptop computer, a DVD player and a stereo.
Events that carry attendance points include the Homecoming Weekend Pep Rally, a tennis clinic, a food drive, a comedy night, an alcohol awareness program, and more.
“We are pleased to support this innovative program that encourages students to appreciate healthy living and community awareness,” said Dr. Lonnie Divack, Senior Medical Director of Vytra Health Plans.
