Master of Fine Art Program
Unveil Artwork to Beautify Nassau County Social Services Building

Elizabeth Kisseleff of North Bellmore, NY and Ryan Seslow of Island
Park, NY both of whom recently graduated from the C.W. Post
Campus of Long Island University in Brookville, NY with Master of
Fine Art (MFA) degrees were recently selected to create paintings
for the Nassau County Social Services building in Mineola, NY. Kisseleff
painted a large ocean view to convey a calm and soothing atmosphere
in a Social Services waiting area and Seslow created brightly colored
abstract paintings for a conference room used by staff and clients.
The artwork is part of the "Scholars for Nassau" initiative,
a program created by County Executive Thomas Suozzi in an effort
to bring together resources from local universities and the County.

"The artwork improves the aesthetics of the building and makes
surroundings more pleasant," said Suozzi. "I am thankful
to these talented students for their generous contribution to the
residents of Nassau County."
The paintings were dedicated by in a ceremony led by Nassau County
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Louise Skolnik on Thursday, June 3, 2004.
