Fani discussed many issues concerning the energy industry on Long Island, including the KeySpan proposal for a new power plant on Spagnoli Road, the collaboration between KeySpan and American National Power, the re-powering of existing generating facilities, the importance of on-island generation for Long Island’s energy needs, the importance of a National Energy Policy and the Blackout of 2003.
