On October 28, 2004, the Real Estate Practitioner’s Institute (REPI) of Long Island, and the Association for a Better Long Island (A.B.L.I.) presented its annual symposium at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville, New York. "Tax Incentives for Economic Development" included sessions titled "Let There Be Taxpayers" and "Pre-Requisites for Economic Development." Speakers included Scott Rechler, President and CEO of Reckson Associates Realty Corp.; Robert Wieboldt, Executive Vice President of the Long Island Builders Institute; Donald Leistman, Esq., Partner at Koeppel, Martone, Leistman & Herman law firm; Kevin Law, Chief Deputy, Office of the Suffolk County Executive; M. Allan Hyman, Esq., Partner at Certilman, Balin, Adler & Hyman, PC; and Sheldon L. Cohen, Nassau County Commissioner of Real Estate Planning and Development.
